Terms of Use

1. Your account

• You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms.
• Give accurate details, keep your password safe, and don't share your account. You're responsible for what happens under it.
• One person per account. If you list a company, you must be authorised to represent it.

2. Using Hatchbase

Please don't:

• Post anything false, misleading, unlawful, hateful or that infringes someone else's rights.
• Impersonate a person or company, or list a company you don't represent.
• Send spam, use demo requests for unrelated sales pitches, or harass anyone.
• Scrape, copy in bulk or resell Hatchbase content, or access it with bots without our written permission.
• Try to break, overload or get around the security of Hatchbase, or upload malware.

3. Company profiles

• Founders are responsible for what they publish: it must be accurate, and you must have the right to use every logo, image, video, document and name you upload.
• Everything on a published profile is public, pitch decks included. Don't upload confidential information.
• You keep ownership of your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt (for example, resize or convert videos) and promote it on Hatchbase while it's published, and for a short time afterwards in backups.
• Funding details, metrics and claims on profiles come from founders. We don't verify them unless a profile is marked as verified, and even then only basic details.

4. Reviews

Reviews must follow our Review guidelines: your own experience, honest and fair, with any relationship disclosed. Founders can't review their own company. We may hold, hide or remove reviews that break the guidelines, and we don't remove fair reviews because a company dislikes them.

5. Demo requests

Hatchbase helps explorers and founders arrange demos. The meeting itself is between you and the company: we're not part of it, and we're not responsible for what's said, shared or agreed there. Be respectful, show up to meetings you accept, and decline or reschedule if you can't.

6. AI Match

AI Match uses AI to interpret your request and suggest companies with reasons drawn from their profiles. Results can be incomplete or wrong. Check the details yourself before relying on them.

7. Not investment advice

Hatchbase is a discovery platform, not a broker, adviser or fundraising portal. Nothing on Hatchbase is an offer to sell or buy securities or a recommendation to invest. If you're considering an investment, do your own research and take independent advice.

8. Our content and brand

The Hatchbase name, logo, design and software belong to us or our licensors. You may share links to profiles freely, but you may not copy the service or use our brand in a way that suggests we endorse you.

9. Suspension and closing your account

You can stop using Hatchbase at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or remove accounts, profiles or content that break these terms or put others at risk, and we'll tell you why where we can.

10. Disclaimers

Hatchbase is in an early preview and is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that profiles, reviews and AI Match results are complete or correct.

11. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, or for the actions of companies and other users you meet through Hatchbase. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Hatchbase grows. For important changes, we'll update the date at the top and tell signed-in users before they take effect. Continuing to use Hatchbase after that means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates. The courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute.
